Box Score For the second game in as many days the Wolves came out on the short end. Jason Sabb paced Cheyney (3-4) with 27 points but it was not enough as the Wolves dropped a 91-84 decision in the Battle of the Firsts to Lincoln (6-1). The Wolves also got double digit efforts from Brandon Norfleet, 14, Deshawn Curtis, 12, and Calvin Brown, 11.

A quartet of players also registered double figures for the Lions. George Jackson led the way with 23 and Kenny Sharpe and Will Cole added 20 and 12 apiece. Derrick Washington came off the bench to lead the way with 21 including 11-15 from the charity stripe.

The Lions jumped out to an early double digit lead and after six minutes of play were up 25-8. But the Wolves were able to muster the strength to battle back cutting the lead to two before going into the locker room down four, 39-35 at halftime. In the second half the Lions were able to push the lead to double figures on two occasions before the Wolves whittled away. Cheyney was able to cut the lead to five, 86-81 and had the ball but would not get any closer.

The Wolves now get a well deserved rest having played five games in nine days. Cheyney will next take to the court on December 18 and 19 at Edinboro and Slippery Rock.
