Gannon (12-2:6-2) shot a blistering 26-41 (.634) from the field to upend Cheyney (5-7:3-5) 85-70 in a PSAC Crossover contest. The Knights jumped out to a 10-1 lead to start the game and never looked back.

Brandon Norfleet came off the bench to lead the Wolves with 21 points. Jason Sabb chipped in 16. Cheyney did shoot an impressive 14-15 (.933) from the foul line. Chris Burney came off the bench to lead all players with eight rebounds.

The lead bloomed to 19 before the Wolves found themselves down 16 at halftime. Cheyney could not find the shooters touch during the first half as the Wolves only made 6 of 28 (.214) field goals. However, the Wolves came out of the locker room at halftime and were able to knock down shots. Cheyney converted 20 -35 in the final 20 minutes but it was not enough. That was all countered by the hot shooting Knights. Gannon made 12-18 (.667)in the first half and 14-23 (.609) in the second half. A layup by Sabb at the 14:41 mark cut the lead to 10 but the Wolves would not get any closer. Gannon was able to build the lead back up to 21 points before settling on the margin of victory.

Oscar Macias led the way for the Knights with 24 points. Meanwhile, Darrell Blanton and Robert Wilson added 15 apiece.

Cheyney will host Mercyhurst Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm in Cope Hall.
