Rashaad Slappy led the Wolves (8-9:6-7) to an 83-66 victory over Mansfield (5-12:3-10).  Slappy netted 20 points, while grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out a team high five assists.  He was also credited with six steals. 
Jason Sabb came off the bench to score 19 points.  Jayvon Beaty and Calvin Brown scored 10 points apiece.

The Wolves continued their hot shooting from earlier in the week.  Cheyney hit on 33 of 63 field goal attempts.  Cheyney has now shot better than .519 in each of the past three games having won them all.

Cheyney’s 13 steals ties a season high achieved last weekend against Bloomsburg.

17 of Slappy’s points and 13 of Sabb’s points came in the first half. However, Cheyney was only able to build up a four point lead, 43-39, at the break.  Brandon Norfleet all of his nine points in the second half.  In the second half the Wolves were able to outscore the Mounties 40-27.

Charles Becoats led the Mountaineers with 17 points. 

Cheyney will face cross town rival West Chester on Wednesday at 5:30 pm in Hollinger Fieldhouse on the WCU campus.
