Box Score
Jason Sabb scored a season high 29 points but it wasn’t enough as Cheyney (4-6:2-4) fell 85-77 to Lock Haven (5-4:3-3). Sabb was an impressive 12-20 from the field. However, the rest of the team shot a disappointing 16-57 (.281).
The first 13 minutes was a back and forth affair. With the game tied at 22, the Eagles went on a 17-4 to close the half. In the second half, the Eagles were able to extend the lead to 21 points with just under nine minutes remaining. A Darius Collins three pointer with 2:43 to play cut the lead to eight but that would be as close as Cheyney would get. Collins would end the game with 14 points, a career high. Gene Lett added 12 points for the Wolves.
Wali Hepburn paced the Eagles with 23 points.
Cheyney will continue its road trip Saturday night at Clarion. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 pm.
