Despite 27 points from Deshawn Curtis and 13 from Eugene Lett, Cheyney (2-9) fell 94-70 to Slippery Rock (10-3).

The Rock jumped out to a 12-5 lead four and half minutes into the contest and never looked back. Slippery Rock got the lead up to 24, 44-20 before the Wolves went on an 11-2 run to end the half and cut the deficit to 15, 46-15.

Maurice Lewis Briggs and Josh Martin each scored 15 points in the first half to lead the Rock and end the game with 32 and 24 respectively. Slippery Rock shot 31-51 (61%) on the night.

Midway through the second half the Wolves were able to cut the lead to 13 on two occasions but were not able to get any closer.

Cheyney will take almost two weeks off before hosting Edinboro and Mercyhurst on January 3^rd and 4^th. Both contests are scheduled to tip-off at 3:00 pm
