Cheyney (11-12:9-10) got a season high 22 points from Brandon Norfleet and three others registered double figures as the Wolves defeated Mansfield (6-17:4-15) 89-77. Rashaad Slappy netted 16 points, Jayvon Beaty 11 and Calvin Brown 10. Jason Sabb dished out a career high nine assists.

Norfleet scored the game’s first four points and the Wolves never looked back. Nursing a four point lead the Wolves used a 10-4 to close the half and push the lead to double figures. Early in the second half the Mounties were able to cut the seven on several occasions but could not get any closer.

Ten of the 11 players who saw action for the Wolves scored. Despite being out rebounded the Wolves shot the ball tremendously. Cheyney was 31-56 (.554) on the afternoon. Joe Bell led Mansfield with 26 points.

Cheyney looks to get back to .500, a place they haven’t been since mid-December on Wednesday night at Kutztown.
