Jayvon Beaty scored 18 points and Jason Sabb added 16 but it wasn’t enough as Cheyney (9-11:7-9) fell 83-72 to East Stroudsburg (18-2:15-1).  It was the fifth consecutive game Beaty netted double figures.

Nursing a one point lead, 20-19, the Warriors went on a 6-0 run late in the first half to push the lead to seven where it stayed till halftime.  After extending the advantage to 10, the Wolves cut the deficit four, 47-43.  However, the Warriors would go on a 10-2 run midway through the second to once again extend the lead.  Cheyney was able to cut the lead down to seven but was unable to get any closer. 

Whis Grant led all players with 25 points.

The game was won on the foul line.  The Warriors made 28 of 37 from the charity stripe.  Cheyney was 8-17. 

The win extends the Warriors winning streak to 12 games, the fourth longest in D II. 

Cheyney will travel to Bloomsburg on Saturday.
