Larkin and Johnson Combine For More Than Half of CUs Points

Kevin Larkin netted 24 points while Jerrod Johnson tallied 17 but it wasn't enough as Cheyney (1-19:0-15) fell 80-74 to Bloomsburg (9-10:5-10).

Nursing a one point lead the Huskies went on a 23-9 run late in the first half to take control of the contest.  The Wolves scored the final four points of the half to cut the deficit ton nine, 42-33.  Bloomsburg started the second half with six unanswered points to push the lead up to 15.  However, the Wolves battled back.  A Larkin three-pointer with 6:41 remaining brought the lead down to six, 63-57.  Three minutes later, Larkin drained another three-pointer to make it a one possession game.  However seven straight points by the Huskies took the lead back up to nine, 74-65 with 1:17 to play.  Unfortunately Cheyney ran out of time and the comeback fell short.

Chritian Mortellite led the Huskies with 19 points.  Alssene Saintilus recorded a double double scoring 16 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.  He was a perfect 10-10 from the foul line.

Cheyney is back in action on Saturday afternoon.  The Wolves play host to Mansfield at 3:00 PM in Cope Hall.
