Cheyney trailed most of the first half but was able to keep it close.  The Eagles never owned more than a six point advantage.  Trailing by six, the Wolves went on a 12-2 run the final 3:43 of the half to take a 44-40 lead into the locker room.

Early in the second half the Wolves were able to push the lead to seven, however, the Eagles would not go away.  Clarion went on a 9-0 run to take a two point lead.  The Wolves were once again able to push the lead back up to six before Clarion battled back.  With 9:49 to play, Clarion's Rob Agurs drained a pair of free throws that turned a one point Cheyney lead into a one point Clarion advantage.  The Eagles would own the lead the rest of the way.  Nursing a one point advantage, Clarion went on a 12-2 to take control of the contest.  The Wolves were able to trim the deficit to six, 81-75, with 3:45 to play but would not get any closer.

Kyheim Hall led six Clarion players in double figures with 22 points.  The Eagles were an impressive 33 of 37 from the foul line including a streak of 23 in a row to help secure the victory.

Both teams are back in action tomorrow afternoon.  Cheyney will host Pitt-Johnstown while Clarion will play at Millersville.  Both contests are scheduled to tip off at 3:00 pm.
