Wolves Fall in OT Again

Cheyney (2-21:1-17) fell in OT for the second time this season to Millersville (13-12:9-10) 85-78.  Kevin Larkin and Jerrod Johnson scored 17 apiece to lead the Wolves.  Rasahn Brinkley came off the bench to add 11 points.  

Cheyney owned a nine point midway through the first half but could not hold on as Millersville took a one point lead into the locker room at half-time.  The Wolves were able to build the lead back up to nine, 64-55 with 3:30 to play.  However, the Marauders would out score the Wolves 14-5 the rest of the way.  Eddie Callender paced the Marauders with 18 points and 10 rebounds including a put back lay-up in the final seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime. 

The foul line was not a friendly place tonight as the Wolves made only 13 of21 compared to 23 of 32 for the Marauders.  Equally troublesome for Cheyney was the battle on the back boards.  The Marauders owned a 52-27 advantage including 18 offensive rebounds. 

In the extra period with the game tied at 74, the tenth tie of the night, Millersville went on a 7-0 from which the Wolves could not recover. 

Cheyney is back in action on Saturday afternoon at East Stroudsburg.
