Mullen Leads Cheyney at Kutztown

Juwan Mullen paced Cheyney (2-20:1-16) with 15 points and seven rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Wolves fell 84-68 to Kutztown (14-9:11-6).  Jerrod Johnson added 11 points. 

The Golden Bears jumped out to a 17-6 lead but the Wolves battled back cutting the lead to six, 23-19 with six and a half minutes to play in the first half.  KU settled for a 35-29 lead at the half.  Early in the second half, the Wolves cut the lead to five (39-34).  The Golden Bears answered with nine straight points to push their advantage up to 14.  The lead stayed in double figures the rest of the way. 

Josh Johnson led Kutztown with 30 points and a game high 14 rebounds, all of the defensive end.  Johnson was a perfect 14-14 from the field and 2 of 2 from the charity stripe. 

Cheyney will be back in action next Wednesday night against Millersville.
