WEST CHESTER, Pa. –It was a "Home" game for Cheyney University, but #17 West Chester University acting as the road team inside Hollinger Fieldhouse on the West Chester campus enjoyed its home court advantage with a 99-51 victory in a new chapter between the crosstown rivals.
Cliff St. Juste led the Wolves with 12 points and Imir Bailey added nine points and Amir Boney scored eight points and a matched Bailey with a game-high seven rebounds.
Tyrell Long paced five Golden Rams (13-1, 9-1 PSAC E) who reached double-figures in scoring with a game-high 21 points as West Chester responded after dropping its first game of hte season at Bloomsburg on Monday night.
Cheyney led briefly to start the game and trailed by only four points 10-6 with 16:29 left in the first half, but West Chester scored the next 14 points to take a 24-6 edge and carried a 44-22 lead at the half and the Wolves were not able to cut into the deficit in the second half.
The Wolves are back in PSAC East action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Shippensburg for a 3:00 PM tipoff with the Raiders.
