KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Cheyney University men's basketball squad kept the first half close, trailing by only 10 points 33-23 with 4:50 to play, but host Kutztown University closed the half with a 13-4 run to take a commanding lead en route to an 85-49 victory in PSAC East action on Wednesday night inside Keystone Arena.
Jeff Lewis led the Wolves (2-13, 2-9 PSAC E) with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line, with a team-high equaling three assists and five rebounds, Amir Boney grabbed a game-high eight rebounds for the Wolves.
Anthony Lee led four Golden Bears (13-2, 9-2 PSAC E) in double figures matching Lewis for game-high with 17 points, Rafiq Marshall added 14 and Ethan Ridgway had a game-high six assists to lead Kutztown.
The Wolves head to Lock Haven on Saturday to take on the Bald Eagles with the tip-off scheduled for 2:30 pm.
