Leon Bell '76 enters his third season as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at his alma mater, for the 2018-19 season.
Coach Bell brings a world of experience as a player and coach to the Cheyney University staff.
Coach Bell was inducted into the Cheyney University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994, following a stellar career that included over 1,000 points scored and 500 rebounds.
Known for his dedication to his players and instilling fundamentals and discipline, Bell piloted his alma mater West Chester Henderson High School for 14 years, which included four consecutive Ches-Mont League titles. He is the only person to both played on and coached three straight Ches-Mont league championship teams.
In 2018, Coach Bell was inducted into the Ches-Mont Hall of Fame and in 2015 he earned induction into the Chester County Sports Hall of Fame.
