Head Coach Kennetha Wallace enters her fourth season leading the Cheyney University volleyball program after being named head coach in 2023. A proud alumna of Cheyney University, Wallace returned to her alma mater with a strong commitment to developing student-athletes and elevating the Wolves volleyball program. "Returning to Cheyney has allowed me the opportunity to give back to the program that helped shape me, while building a culture where student-athletes can grow, compete, and succeed both on and off the court."
During the 2024–25 season, Wallace guided the Wolves to a historic 11–7 record, marking the most wins in program history and earning her 2024–25 Coach of the Year honors. Under her leadership, Cheyney has established a culture focused on accountability, academic success, competitive excellence, and community engagement, laying the foundation for continued growth and success within the program.
As a player, Wallace was a standout libero and setter for the Wolves from 2011–2014. During her career at Cheyney, she earned Team MVP honors in her senior year and made a lasting impact on the program through her leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
Before returning to Cheyney, Wallace served as a special education teacher and assistant volleyball coach at Norristown Area High School, where she helped develop student-athletes while emphasizing leadership, teamwork, discipline, and fundamental skills. Her experience as both an educator and coach has shaped her approach to mentoring student-athletes and building a championship culture.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Wallace was a multi-sport standout at Hillwood High School, competing in volleyball, basketball, and track and field. She earned league, county, and team MVP honors in volleyball, showcasing the athletic ability, leadership, and competitive spirit that have defined her journey as both a player and coach.
