Kennetha Wallace recorded five kills and was credited with 11 digs but the Cheyney Lady Wolves fell to Shippensburg 3-0 in women’s volleyball.  Denise Hill added 25 attacks and Lindsay Ashby chipped in three solo blocks and three assisted blocks but it wasn’t enough.

In the first set with the Red Raiders up 9-8, Shippensburg went on an 11-2 to break open the set en route to a 25-12 win. In the second set it was all Shippensburg. Shippensburg forced as side out on the opening serve and then proceeded to win the next nine points cruising to a second set victory 25-5. Cheyney battled strong in the third set. Cheyney trailed 10-9 but would not get any closer as the Red Raiders prevailed 25-15 in the final set of the night.

Cheyney will celebrate Senior Day in a pre-match ceremony on Saturday before the start of the season finale against Millersville. Game time is slated for 1:00 pm.
