Breanna Joseph recorded four kills off 23 attacks and Lindsay Ashby added two kills and a block but it wasn't enough as Cheyney fell 3-0 to cross town rival West Chester. Kennetha Wallace paced the Lady Wolves with seven digs and seven assists.

Cheyney fell by scores of 25-15, 25-8 and 25-11.

The Wolves hung tough the first set. With the Golden Rams leading 13-10, WCU went on an 11-3 run break the set open en route to capturing the first set. The second set was similar in that the Lady Wolves hung around in the early going and trailed 7-6. However, West Chester would score 16 of the next 17 points to cruise to victory. In the third set the Golden Rams jumped out to an 8-3 lead and never looked back.

The Lady Rams were led by Julia O'Brien's eight kills, Tori Hutchinson's 15 assists and Dana Markol's 11 digs.

Cheyney will host PSAC newcomer Pitt-Johnstown on Friday night at 7:00 pm in Cope Hall. The Lady Wolves will honor the four seniors on the team in a pre-match ceremony.
