After posting back to back wins over a four day period the Lady Wolves were faced with PSAC cross over play. Cheyney fell to Gannon 3-0 in the opener Friday morning.

Wolves jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first set. The Knights battled back. With Gannon leading 9-8, the Knights ran off an impressive 16 straight points to take the first set 25-8. In the second set with Gannon up 8-5, the Knights ran off six straight to push the lead to 14-5. Cheyney got back in the set winning the next four points before the Knights closed out the set with a 11-2 run. In the third set, the Knights kept the pressure on jumping out to an 8-1 lead forcing the Lady Wolves to burn one of their time outs. However, the time out did not change the momentum as Gannon rallied off nine unanswered points forcing Coach Braid to use her final time out. Cheyney was finally able to force a side out, but the Knights cruised to a third set victory 25-4.

In the nightcap the Lady Wolves fell to Edinboro 3-0. Lindsay Ashby and Breanna Joseph led the way for the Lady Wolves with 8 and 6 kills respectively. Kennetha Wallace recorded 11 assists. Ashby registered 30 attacks while team mate Joseph tallied 21.

In the first set the Fighting Scots jumped out to a 14-4 lead and never looked back en route to a 25-11 victory. In set two, Cheyney jumped out to a 4-2 lead but could not hold on as Edinboro rallied. With the Fighting Scots leading 10-9, they extended the led with a 5-0 run. The Lady Wolves would not go down easily. A Lindsay Ashby kill cut the lead to 19-16 however; Cheyney would not get any closer as the Fighting Scots prevailed 25-18. In the third set, Edinboro jumped out to a 5-1 lead but the Lady Wolves rallied to cut the lead to 9-8 before the Fighting Scots ran off six unanswered points to take a 15-8 lead. Cheyney was able to cut the deficit to five, 21-16. Fighting Scots ran off the next four points to secure the 3-0 victory.

Tomorrow the Lady Wolves will take on Mercyhurst and Slippery Rock. Cheyney returns to campus for a Tuesday night double header Bowie. The first match starts at 6:00 pm.
