Box Score Breanna Joseph was credited with nine kills off 21 attacks but it wasn't enough as Cheyney (1-11:0-6) fell to Millersville (8-6:2-4) 3-0 in women's volleyball. Akia Harris added a team high nine digs and Travonya Kenly recorded five assists.
The Lady Wolves scored the first point of the match however, the Marauders answered with five straight to take a lead they would not surrender en route to a 25-14 victory in the first set. In set number two, Millersville raced out to a 11-3 lead cruising to a 25-11 victory. In the third, Cheyney briefly held an 8-7 lead but the Marauders would score nine of the next 10 points to take control and close out the Lady Wolves 25-13.
The Marauders were led by Mary Paul's 11 kills and Victoria Biggins 18 assists.
Cheyney is back in action on Tuesday night. The Lady Wolves travel to West Chester for a 7:00 pm start against the Golden Rams. Cheyney will return home next weekend. On Friday, the Lady Wolves will host East Stroudsburg and on Saturday the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
