Bowie, MD - Cheyney University's women's volleyball team suffers defeat in a 4 set match loss against Bowie State University after an exciting win previously.  Cheyney University (2-20, 0-13 PSAC) dropped the first two sets 14-25 & 13-25 before rallying to win the 3rd set 25-23.  Cheyney University went on to drop the final set 13-25.

Junior transfer Chelsea Hutson (Phoenix, AZ, Apollo HS) led the Lady Wolves offensively with 11 kills and helped to anchor the defense with 13 digs.  Senior  Kilondra Davis (Cocoa, FL, Rockledge HS) and freshman Sabrina Hill-Williams (Bowie, MD, Charles Herbert Flowers HS) each chipped in with 12 digs apiece.
 
Junior transfer Nishay Carrier (Harrisburg, PA, Harrisburg HS) led the team with 22 assists in the match while freshman Alaiya Cave (Omaha, NE, Omaha North High Magnet HS) and senior Virshae Campbell (Long Beach, CA, Silverado HS) contributed to the offense with 6 and 5 kills respectively.

Cheyney University will next be in action at home on Friday (10/30 at 7PM) when they take on PSAC rivals East Stroudsburg University followed by an afternoon match (10/31 at 1PM) against Kutztown University.
