Cheyney Volleyball Travels West

The Cheyney University women's volleyball team traveled to the western part of the state to face Clarion and Seton Hill.  The crossover volleyball matches were contested at the McKenna Center on the campus on Seton Hill University in Greensburg. 

In the early match the Lady Wolves fell to Clarion (4-7:1-0) in three sets (25-8, 25-10 and 25-19).  Chelsea Hutson paced the Lady Wolves with six kills on 25 attacks.  Alaiya Cave also recorded six kills on 23 attacks.  Nishay Carrier registered a team high 14 assists.

Gabrielle Olson and Victoria Evans tallied nine kills apiece for the Eagles.  Leah Vensel added 21 assists.

In the night cap against the host, Cheyney (1-6:0-2) fell by the same 3-0 (25-8, 25-8 and 25-8).  Cave paced Cheyney with five kills on five kills on 16 attacks.  Hutson added 22 attacks and Carrier recorded 8 assists. 

Seton Hill was led by Cassie Hausfeld's 8 kills on 11 attacks.  Maggie Murray tallied 36 assists. 

The Lady Wolves are back in action tomorrow at California (PA).  Cheyney will face Cal and IUP.
