The Lady Wolves volleyball season began in earnest today with a trip to North Carolina.  Cheyney battled Shaw University and Coker College falling 3-0 in both matches.

The matches were both contested in Spauding Gymnasium on the Shaw campus.  Against Shaw, Chelsea Hutson paced the Lady Wolves with 16 attacks and two kills. Kilondra Davis added 11 attacks and five digs.  Sabrina Hill-Williams recorded a team high nine digs. 

In the nightcap against Coker the Lady Wolves also fell in three sets by the scores of 25-10, 25-11 and 25-18.  Hutson once again paced Cheyney with 12 attacks.   While team mates Nishay Carrier and Alaiya Cave added 12 and 11 attacks respectively.  Carrier also was credited with a team high 7 assists.  Hill-Williams led all players with 17 digs. 

The match scores against Shaw were 25-17, 25-13 and 25-15. 

The  Lady Wolves return to the court next Saturday as they travel to Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE for a tri-match that will also include Mercy College.
