KUTZTOWN, PA- Sr. Chelsea Hutson recorded a game-high 13 kills and the Cheyney University volleyball team held a 24-23 lead in the second set, but three straight points by host Kutztown University propelled the Golden Bears, to a straight sets victory in PSAC Southeast action, Saturday afternoon inside Keystone Arena.

The Wolves (3-17, 0-11 PSAC SE), led 23-20 in the middle set, following a kill by Fr. Melissa Lamson-Lindsey. The Golden Bears (4-18, 1-10 PSAC SE) reeled off three points in-a-row to tie the set at 23-23. A kill from So. Virshawna Campbell put the Wolves within a point of evening the match, but Kutztown scored the final three points to take a two-set lead en route to a straight sets victory.

Hutson hit .333 and added eight digs to her 13 kills, Campbell chiiped in with eight kills and nine digs, while So. Alaiya Cave finished with five kills.

Fr. Bryanna Taylor led the Wolves with 14 assists and was credited with seven diggs, Fr. Mary Flores recorded 13 assists, five digs and three kills and Sr. Akia Harris compiled a team-high 18 digs.

The Wolves host Edinboro on Friday October 28, in a PSAC battle, with the first serve scheduled for 7:00 PM.
