CHEYNEY, Pa. - The Cheyney University volleyball team welcomes, PSAC Southeastern Division foe, Kutztown to Cope Hall at 7:00 PM tonight to open the final weekend of the season.
Saturday will be Senior Day, as three Wolves: Nishay Carrier, Chelsea Hutson and Akia Harris will represent Cheyney on the Cope Hall floor for the final time.
Carrier is a Business Administration major who, led Cheyney in assists in 2015, has played in over 50 matches and dished out over 350 assists.
Hutson, also a Business Administration major, will be making her 55th appearance at Cheyney this evening, has accumulated nearly 350 kills and over 400 digs in two seasons.
Harris, a four-year member of the team who, has appeared in over 100 matches and amassed over 900 digs and almost 100 aces in her career. Akia, plans on going on to graduate school next year with aspiration's to get her doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
???????Kutztown captured the first match at home 3-0 over Cheyney on October 22. The Wolves held set points in the second set which would have evened the match at a set apiece, but eventually dropped the middle set 26-24.
Last time out the Wolves fell to SE Division leading West Chester on Tuesday night, with Hutson leading the way with six kills and eight digs, while the Golden Bears dropped a four set match at East Stroudsburg.
The Warriors who are at WCU this evening, provide the opponent for the Wolves in tomorrow's finale, following the Senior Day festivities at 1:00 PM
