Box Score

The Lady Wolves were looking to sweep the season series with rival Lincoln (3-14) but came out on the short end of a 3-0 decision.  The Lady Lions prevailed in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-22. Earlier this year Cheyney defeated Lincoln 3-2.   Breanna Joseph paced Cheyney (1-20) with 11 kills off 37 attacks.  Kennetha Wallace recorded a match high 19 assists.  Kilondra Davis and Virshae Campbell led the Lady Wolves with 16 and 14 digs respectively. 

In the first set, the Lady Wolves with the score tied at 7, the Lions went on a 6-2 run to take a 13-9 lead.  Cheyney immediately trimmed the lead to 13-10 but could not get any closer.  In the second set with the score knotted at 6, Lincoln went on an 8-2 run to take control.  Cheyney was able to cut the deficit to 14-10 failed to get closer.  In the third set, the Lady Wolves were trailing 21-14 and rallied, scoring the next six points.  The Lions scored the next two points and the teams traded points to close out the scoring. 

Jillian Lee and Ashanti Price led Lincoln with 12 and 10 kills respectively. 

Cheyney is back in action on Friday night at Kutztown.
