Lakeem Duncan led the Wolves with 15 points and
Dominique Davis added 14, but it was not enough as visiting Slippery Rock defeated host Cheyney University 80-53 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon inside Alfred Cope Hall.
The Rock (5-4, 2-3 PSAC W) jumped to a 9-0 lead before Davis came off the bench to score four quick points to bring the Wolves (1-6, 0-5 PSAC E) to with five at 9-4.
Slippery Rock would then go on a 13-to-1 run to put the game out of reach.
Jamal Gatlin led The Rock with 18 points, while Cornelius Brown and Malcolm Richardson scored 14 points each.
Freshman
Matthew Dial, who scored his first career-basket on Friday night, connected on his first career-three-point shot in the second-half.
Senior
Mecheal Greene made a three-pointer for his first points of the season.
Cheyney is off until Saturday, Dec. 12 when it hosts Virginia Union University in a non-conference game at 3:30 p.m. inside Cope Hall.
