Volleyball Falls in Tri-Match

The Cheyney Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Wilmington Delaware to play a tri-match with host Goldey-Beacom and Mercy (NY).  Cheyney dropped both matches by identical scores of 3-0.

Against the host Lightning, Alaiya Cave and Chelsea Hutson combined for 11 kills on 50 attacks but it was not enough.  Akia Harris and Sabrina Hill-Williams added 11 and 10 digs respectively. Cheyney fell by scores of 25-9, 25-13 and 25-20.

In the nightcap Cheyney fell to Mercy (2-4) by scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-11.
Alaiya Cave paced the Lady Wolves with eight kills on 26 attacks.  Chelsea Hutson added five kills and 37 attacks.  Akia Harris and Sabrina Hill Williams recorded 19 and 13 digs respectively. 

The Lady Wolves (0-4) will open their home schedule on Wednesday night as they host Lincoln University in Cope Hall beginning at 7:00 PM.  It will be Lincoln's first match of the season.
