KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Fr.
Zahir Stewart led Cheyney with 17 points Monday night, but host #19 Kutztown University jumped out early and defeated the Wolves 92-66 in PSAC East action inside Keystone Arena.
Kutztown (11-2, 7-2 PSAC E) led 31-11 with seven minutes to play in the first, when Stewart led a comeback with 12 points as Cheyney (1-12, 1-8 PSAC E) trimmed a 20 point deficit down to 38-30 with a 19-8 run, but the Golden Bears scored the final five points to take a 43-30 lead at the break.
Kutztown used a 12-5 run to open the second half and put the game out of reach.
So.
Amir Boney who had seven points and seven rebounds at half, finished with the game with 10 points and eight boards.
Anthony Lee scored a game-high 22 points to lead four Golden Bears in double-figures.

Imir Bailey added eight points each off the Wolves bench.
Cheyney returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Lock Haven University at 7:30 p.m. inside Alfred Cope Hall.
