CHEYNEY, Pa.- Jr. Rafiq Marshall continued his scoring spree with 26 points, his fourth consecutive game over 20 points, but No.9 Kutztown University took control early in the contest en route to a 113-75 victory over the Wolves Saturday afternoon in PSAC East action inside Alfred Cope Hall.
Jr. Khaalis Carter came off the Cheyney (2-22, 2-17 PSAC E) to score 13 points, while the Golden Bears (20-2, 16-2 PSAC E) received a school record 14 assists from Ethan Ridgeway as part of a 32 assist team performance in winning for the 12
th straight game.
Marshall, who went 10-17 from the field, hit his only three-point attempt and made all five of his free-throws, also added a team-high five rebounds and four assists. Carter made 6-of-8 shots and Jr. Center Craig McGlond registered 10 points with three rebounds and two assists.
Kutztown put five players in double figures led by Anthony Lee with 20 points.
The Wolves return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Lock Haven to take on the Bald Eagles with the tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
