KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Cheyney University women's basketball fell behind early and could not make a comeback in falling 85-69 on the road at Kutztown University in PSAC East action on Wednesday night inside Keystone Arena.
TaKayla Ellis and Marlon Herring lead the Wolves (3-14, 1-10 PSAC E) with 17 points each and Yasmine Dorrielan added eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.
???????Rylee Derr made seven three-point shots to pace all scorers with 23 points, The Golden Bears (10-7, 5-6 PSAC E) made 12-of-22 shots from beyond the arc including 5 –of-7 in the first ten minutes and carried a 25-11 advantage into the second period.

???????Kutztown closed the first quarter with the final nine-points to turn a 16-11 lead to the the 14-point cushion they enjoyed at the end of the first period.
The Wolves were not able to close the deficit any lower 12 the rest of the game.
Herring made a career-high nine free-throws, in 12 attempts, and was credited with four steals, Ja'la Walker added seven rebounds and two blocked shots.
Khadijah Pearson scored seven points with a team-high three assists, four rebounds and two steals, Jamyra Maye made three steals and Ellis grabbed five rebounds and recorded two blocks and two steals.
The Wolves head to Lock Haven on Saturday to take on the Bald Eagles with the tip-off scheduled for 12:00 pm.
