Lincoln University, PA – Host Lincoln University women's basketball team captured the Battle of the Firsts, 95-43 on Monday night over the Wolves inside Manuel Rivero Gymnasium.

Senior JaNya Lilly (Baltimore, MD, Lincoln University) led Cheyney (1-4) with 15 points and grabbed four rebounds, the Lions (5-5) had five players reach double figures on the night.

Junior Nytasia Braxton (Camden, NJ, Southeastern CC) added 10-points and three assists, sophomore Maciyah Washington (Bowie, MD, CCBC Essex) scored nine points and also had three assists. Sophomore Jireh Kelly (Salisbury, MD, Parkside HS) led the Wolves with eight rebounds and chipped in with six points and senior Zinnia Wormack grabbed seven boards in her first game of the season.

Cheyney returns to action on Friday afternoon at Wilmington University with the tipoff scheduled for 3:00 PM.
