CHEYNEY, PA. - Visiting Lincoln University used an 11-1 run to take control of the first set and went on to a three set victory over Cheyney University, on Tuesday evening inside Alfred Cope Hall, in the Lions lone trip to Cheyney during the 2022-23 athletic seasons.
It was the second meeting this year between the HBCU rivals, and similar to the first meeting at the beginning of the month at Lincoln, the Wolves had difficulty returning serve, as the Lions posted 23 aces on the evening in sweeping the match and the season series.
Cheyney (2-7) could not pick up a second consecutive victory, following its win at Trinity (DC) on Saturday, meanwhile Lincoln (4-7, 1-4 CIAA), for a second time this season, picked up back-back victories.
Cheyney will host Manor College on Wednesday October 5, in its next match, with the first serve scheduled for 7 PM.
