Lincoln, PA. – Cheyney University volleyball, with new head Coach Ramona Riley-Bozier, head to Manuel Rivero Gymnasium, this evening, Wednesday September 7, for a 6 PM first serve vs HBCU rival Lincoln University to open the 2022 season.
The Wolves have had two spirited scrimmages since Thursday night, against Penn State York and at Washington Adventist on Sunday evening. The Lions (1-0) secured an opening night three set victory over Goldey-Beacom College on September 1
st at home.
Riley-Bozier spent 34 years from 1988-2021 at the helm of her alma-mater Division I Morgan State University. While at Morgan, Riley-Bozier amassed 481 victories including three trips to the NCAA volleyball Tournament, five Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) titles and was voted Coach of the Year five times.
The 1997 Lady Bears became the first HBCU to earn a trip to the NCAA volleyball Tournament.
