CHEYNEY, Pa. – The Cheyney University volleyball lost a close opening set and fell in three sets to visiting Indiana University of Pa. in PSAC Crossover action Saturday inside Cope Hall.
Sr. Chelsea Hutson and Virshawna Campbell paced the Wolves (1-9, 0-4 PSAC Southeast) with five kills each and Alaiya Cave added four kills for the Wolves., Fr. Bryanna Taylor posted 6 assists and Sr. Akia Harris was credited with 6 digs in the match.
The Crimson Hawks (13-2, 4-0 PSAC Southwest) used a balanced attack to capture the match in three sets (25-19, 25-11, 25-7).
Cheyney trailed only by a point a 19-18 following one of Melissa Lamson-Lindsey's three blocks, but IUP ran off five straight points to take control of the set.
The Wolves are back in action on Wednesday, for a non-league match at 7:00 PM, inside Cope Hall against Bowie State.
