CHEYNEY, Pa. – So. Virshawna Campbell led the Cheyney University volleyball team with seven, but visiting Slippery Rock University defeated the hosts in three sets in PSAC action Saturday inside Cope Hall.

Fr. Bryanna Taylor reached double-figures for a third straight match with a team-leading 14 assists for the Wolves (3-19, 0-13 PSAC SE).

Leah Jones with 11 and Lamija Alisic with 10 kills paced the Rock (10-16 3-10 PSAC NW) in the straight set triumph. Zoe Rivet led all-players with 36 assists.

Sr. Chelsea Hutson recorded five kills with 11 digs and Fr. Mary Flores registered a team-high 12 kills for the Wolves.

Cheyney heads back on the road for the next three matches starting on Friday Nov. 4 at Gannon with the first serve scheduled for 7:00 PM.
