CHEYNEY, Pa. – The Cheyney University volleyball team opened up its six game home-stand with a hard fought loss to visiting Clarion University in PSAC Crossover action Friday night inside Cope Hall.
Sr. Chelsea Hutson paced the Wolves (1-8, 0-3 PSAC Southeast) with seven kills, Fr. Bryanna Taylor posted 10 assists and Sr. Akia Harris was credited with 12 digs in the match.
The Golden Eagles (9-6, 3-0 PSAC Southwest) used a balanced attack to capture the match in three sets (25-9, 25-20, 25-15).
Cheyney led a good portion of the second set, but were unable to secure the victory to even the match.
The Wolves are back in action on Saturday at 1:00 PM when Indiana, Pa. pays a visit to Cope Hall.
