CU Fans Storming the court after beating Lincoln
Box Score

In an eerie similar match to last season, the Lady Wolves dropped the first two sets verse arch rival Lincoln (0-1) before rallying to win three straight and claim their first victory of the season.  "Whenever Cheyney and Lincoln battle on the court it's always exciting," commented Cheyney's Coach Joan Braid.  Cheyney jumped out to an 11-6 lead in the fifth and final set only to see Lincoln battle back to knot the set at 11.  Cheyney owned a 14-13 lead but could not earn that decisive point.   The same was true at 15-14 and 16-15.  But with the game tied at 16, CU won back to back points to secure the victory.  Alaiya Cave recorded the final kill to give the Lady Wolves their first win of the season.  Cheyney now stands at 1-4.  This was Lincoln's opener.

Chelsea Hutson paced the Lady Wolves with 18 kills on 60 attacks while Cave added 13 kills on 39 attacks.  Virshae Campbell led the team in digs with 23 while Nishay Carrier led the team with 18 assists.

Cheyney dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-22.  With the Cope Hall faithful cheering them on and displaying that never die attitude the Lady Wolves rebounded by winning the next three, 25-18, 25-20 and 18-16 to win the match.  The 222 Cheyney students that came to the match stormed the court to cheer on the victors.

The Lions were led by Jillian Lee with 12 kills on 27 attacks.  Shanna King added 22 assists and Soyni Hugget was credited with a team high 23 digs.

Cheyney returns to action Tuesday night as they seek revenge against Goldey-Beacom for a loss earlier this season.
