Tamara Russell paced the Lady Wolves with 11 points but it wasn’t enough as Cheyney (0-8:0-5) fell 50-41 to Slippery Rock (2-6:1-4).

The Rock jumped out to a 15-5 lead but that was as big as the lead would ever get.  Cheyney was able to cut the lead to three after a Russell layup with :41 seconds remaining in the first half but a pair of free throws pushed the lead up to five, 24-19 at half-time. 

Kyra Hines Allen was able to tie the game at 34 after a lay-up at the six minute mark.  Two minutes later with the score knotted at 38, Slippery Rock would go on a 10-0 run to take a 48-38 advantage with 1:40 to play.  A Russell three-pointer was all the Lady Wolves could muster the rest of the way. 

Cheyney will look to re-group over the holidays.  The Lady Wolves will not see any action until January 4 at Lock Haven.
