The Cheyney University Lady Wolves (0-11:0-8) were looking for the big upset against Gannon University (14-1:8-0) and in the early going the Cheyney squad put together a great first 16 minutes against the sixth ranked team in the country. After 16 minutes of play the Lady Wolves were only down two points. But the Lady Knights closed out the half on a 18-4 run to take control of the contest.

Kyra Hines-Allen and Tamara Russell come off the bench to pace the Lady Wolves with 18 and 12 points respectively. Lachelle Miller added 11. The Lady Wolves shot 45% from the field, a season high and a respectable 18-26 from the foul line.

Jen Papich paced the Knights with 15 points while team mates Brittnay Batts and Mollie Sebald added 14 an12 respectively.

Cheyney is back in action on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm against the Lakers of Mercyhurst.
