Kyra Hines-Allen netted a career high 24 points, her fourth double figure effort in as many games, half of all of Cheyney’s points as the Lady Wolves (0-12:0-9) dropped a 64-48 decision to Mercyhurst (4-9:4-5) in the final PSAC Crossover contest of the season. Team mate Lachelle Miller added a season high 16 points.

In almost a mirror image game from yesterday the Lady Wolves hung tough early on before faltering late in the first half. The Lady Wolves and Lakers were knotted at 12 through the first 12:38 before the Lakers went on a 16-2 run to close out the first half.

A 9-3 Cheyney run to start the second half bought the lead down to eight, 23-31 but that would be as close the Lady Wolves would come. Hines-Allen would lead the charge scoring five of Cheyney’s first nine points to open the second half.

Dana Banda and Lindsay Burke led Mercyhurst with 13 and 11 points respectively.

Cheyney will be back in action on Wednesday night at Millersville. Tip-off against the Marauders is slated for 5:30 pm.
