In the PSAC East opener for both schools, Cheyney (0-3:0-1) fell to West Chester 93-44 in women's basketball action. The Golden Rams jumped out to 23-3 lead and never looked back.

Cheyney newcomer Amber Genwright paced the Lady Wolves with 12 points while Cristina Jordan came off the bench to tally 11. The Golden Rams placed six players in double figures and were led by Dallas Ely with 17 points.

"I was glad to see that in the second half we kept on fighting," commented rookie head coach Kyle Adams. "It's early in the season. I know we can play better than what we showed tonight. I believe in these young women."
West Chester was able to force 39 turnovers off of their pressure. "We knew it was coming (their pressure) but we just didn't handle it well."

Cheyney was also plagued with foul trouble. Three players fouled out and two others had four foul.

The Lady Wolves will be back in action on Saturday afternoon in Cope Hall. Cheyney will host Shippensburg at 1:00 pm.
