Kyra Hines-Allen shot 5-7 from the field and was perfect 2-2 from the line to lead Cheyney (1-8) with12 points while grabbing nine rebounds. However, California (PA) (4-5) defeated the Lady Wolves 71-47.

The Lady Wolves played toe-to-toe with Cal the first 15 minutes. However, the Vulcans scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 31-24 into the locker room. But in the second half it was all California as the Vulcans outscored the Lady Wolves 40-23. Cal used an 8-1 run to start the second half to extend the lead. Cheyney was never able to get the lead back down below double figures.

Kiana Jackson and Amber Grenwright added nine and eight points respectively. Emma Mahady paced the Vulcans with 19 points.

Cheyney is back in action on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Wolves will host Slippery Rock at 1:00 pm in Cope Hall before taking time off for the holidays.
