Kyra Hines-Allen and Amber Genwright scored 10 points apiece but the Lady Wolves (4-19:4-10) fell 73-45 to Millersville (13-11:8-6) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East women's basketball action.
Millersville scored the game's first 12 points and owned a 17-2 lead 6:27 into the contest. The Marauders built the advantage to 17 before Cheyney cut the deficit to 10. However, Millersville took a 31-19 lead into the locker room at half-time. Cheyney would not get any closer in the second half.
The Marauders dominated in the paint. Millersville scored 42 of their points inside the paint and out-rebounded the Lady Wolves 46-29. The Lady Wolves were sharp shooters from the foul line converting 22 or 26 attempts. Cheyney could not find the range from the field shooting a season low 11-50 (.220).
Celeste Robinson paced the Marauders with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Team mate Yasmin Cooper added 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Earlier in the season, Cheyney defeated Millersville on a Lachelle Miller three-pointer buzzer beater.
The Lady Wolves play their final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon. Cheyney will host East Stroudsburg at 1:00 pm. Before the game the Lady Wolves will honor the four seniors on the squad; Alexis Peterson, Faye Dunston, Lachelle Miller and Cristina Jordan.
