Cheyney, PA – Cheyney University women's basketball fell 89-57 on Tuesday evening to host Washington Adventist University inside the Pit in Takoma, MD as it opened the 2023 portion of the season.

Cheyney will host Penn State Lehigh Valley in the opening of a doubleheader inside Cope Hall on Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 5:30 PM. The matchup was originally scheduled for January 4,2023 but had to be rescheduled due to health and safety protocols.

The Wolves are 1-7 on the season, while the Nittany Lions are 10-2, have won eight straight games and are returning to the court for the first time since December 11, 2022.

It will be the first meeting ever between the schools.
