"I am very happy for our ladies and our program," commented rookie head coach Kyle Adams, who earned his first collegiate coaching victory. "We have asked a great deal from these ladies since they returned this semester. Our kids have continued to respond to those demands. I'm glad that we found the resilience to win against a hungry Mansfield team today. We didn't play perfect basketball but we found a way stay together as a team. They made some adjustments in the second have and our kids did a great job of continuing to be aggressive. Everyone contributed to this effort and I saw pride in our program today. Now we will get back on the practice floor and prepare to head out to the (PSAC) West for crossover play."

Jena Matter paced the Mounties with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Cheyney will take the week off before traveling to Seton Hill and California on December 17 & 18. The Wolves return home on December 21 to take on Slippery Rock before once again take a break for the holidays.
