GWYNNED VALLEY, Pa. –
Isaiah Galloway captured the high jump title and
Imir Bailey qualified for the PSAC Championships to lead the Cheyney University men's track and field team at the 8
th Annual Gwynedd-Mercy Mid-Week Twilight Invitational.
Galloway cleared 2.0m/ 6'6.75" to win the title and qualify for the outdoor PSAC Championships during the first weekend of May.
Brandon Joyner cleared 1.95m/6'4.75" to take home third place and Bailey cleared 1.85m/6'0.75" to place fifth and qualify for the PSAC Championships.
Devin Miller placed fifth to qualify for the finals in the 100m and then placed fifth in the finals in a time of 11.62.
Daniel Osagie was the runner-up in the 110m hurdles crossing the line in 17.14,
Jowan Lewis-Kearse finished second in the long jump with a distance of 6.75m/22'0.25" and Osagie placed seventh registering a distance of 6.24m/20'5.75"
Eric Brown finished 11
th in the 1500m in 5:01.15 and
Michael Cusatis also placed 11
th in 800 clocking a time of 2:05.14.
Cheyney is heading back to Stockton University on Friday afternoon with Lewis-Kearse in the triple jump competition and then will be back to Galloway, N.J at G. Larry James Stadium, with the full squad for the Osprey Open on Saturday.
