GALLOWAY, N.J. –
Brandon Joyner captured the title in the high jump, while
Jowan Lewis-Kearse picked up a victory in the long jump and a second in the triple jump, to lead the Cheyney University men's track and field squad at the Osprey Open and Multi Meet over the weekend held at G. Larry James Stadium hosted by Stockton University.
Joyner cleared 2.03m/6'8" the second best in Cheyney history outdoors, an IC4A/ECAC qualifying height and the third best in the PSAC during the outdoor season.
Lewis-Kearse started the weekend on Friday night with a jump of 14.50m/48 to finish in the runner-up position and then took the title in the long jump on Saturday with a distance of 6.72/22'0.75", while
Daniel Osagie registered a career-long distance of 6.49/21'3.5" to place third..
Michael Cusatis recorded a season best time of 51.95 in the 400 and
Elijah Rimpel clocked a college-best time of 11.83 in the 100.
The Wolves are back in action on Saturday April 21, as they travel to East Stroudsburg for the ESU All-American.
